Year Formed: 1958 - Stirling Lions Soccer Club evolved with the history of the Macedonian Community of W.A. The Club has been through a number of name changes and directions in its forty year history. We were known as West Perth Macedonia in the '70's and early '80's, winning the League Title in its third year of State League.

In 1986, the Club changed its name to Stirling Macedonia with a move to Macedonia Park. That year, the Club represented the Soccer Federation of Western Australia against Adelaide City in the NANDA Cup in front of a crowd of approximately 5,000 people. During the '80's and '90's, we were one of the most powerful soccer clubs in Western Australia having won six league premierships along the way.

In 1999, we changed our name to the Stirling Lions Soccer Club, a move which allowed ourselves to embrace the whole of the Stirling district.

Having had three Australian representatives play for our Club.

- Robert Zabica (right) played in the 1994 World Cup Qualifier against Diego Maradona's Argentina in front of 80,000 spectators.

- Stan Lazaridis (left) formerly with West Ham and now with the Perth Glory has also represented Australia on numerous occasions.

- Troy Halpin has represented Perth Glory and Australia,

- Nick Ward played for the Lions in 2005, and won the Gold Medal as Football West's player of the Year. He later joined the Perth Glory and represented the Olyroos, before joining Championship side Queens Park Rangers in the UK. He has been loaned out to A- League side Melbourne Victory till the end of the season.
