A workmanlike performance was praised by Stirling Lions coach Doug Hesketh as his troops thumped Floreat Athena 4-1 in their All Flags State Premier League contest at a sunny Macedonia Park on Saturday afternoon.

After seeing his team go two goals up in under 20 minutes, ECU Joondalup coach Salv Todaro was disappointed with his team's capitulation to finish their second round All Flags Premier League tie with a 4-2 loss to Stirling Lions.
